Owolabi Babajide Augustine is a dedicated Registered Nurse and academician with numerous years of experience in both clinical and educational settings across Nigeria. Born on March 21, 1980s, in Ekiti State, he has built a distinguished career in nursing education, clinical practice, and research.
Currently serving as Lecturer at Federal University Oye Ekiti, Babajide has progressed through various academic ranks, previously serving as Lecturer II at Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti, and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital. His clinical foundation was established through roles at Oduduwa University Medical Centre and Comprehensive Health Care Centre, where he provided comprehensive care across accident and emergency, surgical wards, and community health settings.
Babajide holds an impressive array of qualifications, including Bachelor of Nursing Science, M.Sc.in Nursing from the University of Ibadan, , and a Ph.D. at Afe Babalola University. He is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, and Registered Nurse Educator, with postgraduate education certifications. His commitment to professional excellence is evidenced by his membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
His research contributions are substantial, with publications in reputable journals focusing on maternal and child health, cancer screening, infection prevention, and nursing education. Babajide is particularly recognized for his work on cervical cancer awareness and screening among Nigerian women.
Beyond his professional achievements, Babajide is a skilled administrator, and computer literate, His interpersonal skills, adaptability, and stress management capabilities make him an effective educator and healthcare provider. He enjoys swimming, reading, and traveling in his leisure time. Married and a practicing Catholic, Babajide continues to contribute significantly to nursing education and healthcare delivery in Nigeria, demonstrating leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence in all his endeavors.
