Biography

Dr. Babalola Femi Emmanuel is a Nigerian scholar and educator specialising in Physics Education, Science Education, curriculum studies, technology-enhanced learning, practical science instruction, and STEM education. He is based in the Department of Science Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria, where he contributes to teaching, research, curriculum development, academic administration, and postgraduate education.

He earned a PhD in Physics Education from The Open University, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, in 2017, after completing an M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies (Physics) at Obafemi Awolowo University and a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Physics from the University of Ado-Ekiti. His doctoral study was supported by a PhD Studentship associated with The Open University and the Institute of Physics, United Kingdom.

With over 17 years of teaching experience, Dr. Babalola has held several academic leadership positions, including Head of the Department of Science Education and Head of the Physics Education Unit. He has also served on numerous departmental and faculty committees.

His research focuses on practical physics teaching, virtual laboratories, multimedia integration, educational technology, science literacy, culturally responsive pedagogy, inclusive STEM education, and teacher professional development. He has published extensively in reputable national and international journals, including Scopus-indexed outlets published by Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier.

Dr. Babalola is a member of the Institute of Physics, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria, and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. His work reflects a sustained commitment to improving science education in Nigeria and other resource-constrained contexts.
