Biography
Dr Beatrice Damilola Adeoye is a reader in Department of Sociology, Federal University Oye-Ekiti. She concluded her PhD program in April, 2019 as a Medical Sociologies. Her research is situated in the field of social health, with focus on reproductive health, gender and epidemiology. In her 13 years career experience as a lecturer, she has taught several courses: Sociology of Health and Illness Behaviour, Women in society, Sociology of Medicine, Introduction to Social Inequality, Sociology of Mental Health, Social Epidemiology, Comparative Health Care Delivery System and several others in both undergraduate and post graduate level. She has supervised nothing less than 112 undergraduate students and 12 postgraduate students both at Masters and PhD levels. Also she has served and serving in several capacities within university and larger community. Former Deputy Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Departmental Postgraduate coordinator and Examination Officer. Presently Member of Business Committee of Senate, University Examination Monitoring Committee, Faculty Research and Innovation Committee. In addition, she has been involved in organizing and facilitating health advocacy and sensitization programs in both religion and community setting. As an academia and researcher, she believes, she is endlessly striving to explore diversity with more inclusive approaches. welcoming and embracing diverse culture, socioeconomic, gender group, demographic diversities between individual and social groups to ultimately create a pool of thought, perception, attitude and healthy lifestyle worldwide. I am staunchly committed to enhancing health and quality health outcome in the wave of different trend
Research Interests
Specialize in the field of social health, with focus on reproductive health, gender and epidemiology with 12 years career experience as a lecturer in Nigeria Federal University, teaching several courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Knowledgeable and passionate in teaching, impacting knowledge at various levels with effective teaching methods that enhance adequate and impactful learning. As an academia and a researcher always strive to explore diversity with more inclusive approaches. Also welcoming and embracing diverse culture, socioeconomic, gender group, demographic diversities between individual and social groups to ultimately create a pool of thought, perception, attitude and healthy life style in the learning environment and society at large.
