Biography of Joshua Sunday Ameh
Early Life and Academic Foundations
Joshua Sunday Ameh is an accomplished Nigerian researcher, plant scientist, and educator. Born on June 26, 1988, in Dekina, Nigeria, Joshua hails from the Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. His permanent home address is rooted in Ai-Kwu Otukpa within Benue State.
Joshua’s academic journey began at Mother of Mercy Nursery/Primary School in Okpoga, Benue State, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 2001. He went on to attend St. Francis College in Otukpo, completing his Senior School Certificate in 2007.
Driven by a passion for the natural world, Joshua pursued higher education at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (now Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University) in Benue State. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Botany in 2014, graduating with Second Class Honors (Upper Division). Demonstrating an exceptional commitment to his field, he returned to the same institution to complete a Master of Science in Plant Sciences and Biotechnology in 2021, graduating with a First Class degree.
