Biography

Dr. Deborah Moradeke Chukwuma is a Nigerian plant taxonomist, biosystematist, and conservation scientist in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. Her work integrates classical taxonomy with modern molecular approaches to improve the understanding, conservation, and sustainable management of tropical plant diversity. She has conducted extensive floristic inventories and ethnobotanical surveys across southwestern Nigeria, contributing valuable baseline data for conservation planning, forest restoration, and the sustainable utilization of plant resources. She is widely published.
