Biography

Gabriel Godfrey Odeh is a lecturer, researcher, and animal scientist currently serving as a Lecturer II in the Department of Animal Production and Health at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria. He is a registered member of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP)
Academic Background & Research Focus
Dr. Odeh (in-view) has built a progressive academic foundation in livestock science. He earned his Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric) in Animal Science from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (Shabu-Lafia Campus), graduating with a Second Class Upper Division. He went on to specialize further, obtaining his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Animal Reproductive Physiology from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (2023–2025). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the same institution.
Professional Experience & Institutional Contributions
Mr. Odeh’s academic career is backed by rich technical and instructional experience. He joined FUOYE initially as an institutional Technologist (2020–2022), providing critical laboratory support before advancing to the faculty rank of Graduate Assistant, and subsequently promoting to his current role as a Lecturer II. His earlier experience includes practical training at the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) in Vom, Jos, and serving as an Animal Husbandry instructor during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployment.

Research Interests

Researcher in Animal Reproductive Physiology and Animal Nutrition, with strong interest in phytogenic feed additives, reproductive biotechnology, and sustainable livestock production. My work focuses on exploring the potential of plant-derived extracts and agro-industrial by-products to improve growth performance, carcass quality, immunity, and reproductive efficiency in farm animals.
