Biography
I am Akomolafe Marvellous Akorede, a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Health Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria, and an M.Sc. candidate in Public Health at Osun State University, Osogbo.
My research interests include public health, epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, health promotion, GIS applications in public health, and infectious disease epidemiology, with a particular focus on cross-border migration and infectious diseases in West Africa. I am passionate about using research and spatial analysis to generate evidence that informs public health interventions and policy.
As an early-career academic, I am committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. My long-term goal is to become a lecturer and researcher, contributing to improved health outcomes through innovative research, evidence-based practice, and the training of future public health professionals.
Research Interests
My research interests include public health, epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, health promotion, GIS applications in public health, and infectious disease epidemiology, with a particular focus on cross-border migration and infectious diseases in West Africa.
