Biography

My first degree in Nursing Science (BNSc.) was at UNIFE, Ile Ife, (OAU) in 1983. It was then I also wrote my Professional Exams, to qualify as a Registered Nurse/Midwife - 1983. My NYSC was at Military Hospital, Rukubah Jos. Plateau State. On completion, I worked with Ondo State Government for as a Nurse-Tutor in Maria Assumpta School of Midwifery, Ado Ekiti, until the merging of all Schools of Nursing and Midwifery in 1986. I later joined the services of Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University, as a Registered Nurse in 1989, where I served in the University Health Centre for over twenty years, where I rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Matron in 2008. Over the time I was developing my professional skills and broadening my academic knowledge. I anticipated a future lecturing career, hence I did a Sandwich Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2007. I later enjoyed a Study Leave, which gave me the privilege of a Master Degree in Nursing Science in 2012. This gave me the opportunity to apply for a higher responsibility in my career as a Clinical Nurse at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti. I was employed as the first Deputy Director, Nursing Services in November 2012. I served for about eight years and later retired as the first Director, Nursing Services of the Hospital in April, 2021.
Meanwhile, I was working on my PhD at OAU, Ile Ife; and by God's grace, I was able to complete the program in September, 2023.
I joined the services of FUOYE as a Contract Lecturer in April, 2021.
