Biography

Prof. Engr. Bayode Julius Olorunfemi, born in 1968 in Ikere-Ekiti, Nigeria, is a Professor of Production Engineering with extensive experience in engineering, academia, and public service. He earned a B.Eng. in Agricultural Engineering (1991), an M.Eng. in Production and Industrial Engineering (1998), and a Ph.D. in Production Engineering (2014). A COREN-registered engineer, he is a member of several professional engineering bodies, including NSE, NIAE, SAISE, and IAENG.

He began his career with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 1993, where he supervised major engineering projects and rose to the position of Assistant Director (Engineering) before transferring to the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) in 2015. He attained the rank of Professor in 2025 and has over 11 years of university teaching and administrative experience, including serving as Head of Department at both FUOYE and Wigwe University (on sabbatical).
Prof. Olorunfemi has published over 80 scholarly articles and has supervised numerous undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. students. His research interests include computer-aided management, industrial and production engineering, and ergonomics. Beyond academia, he is an ordained Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide and is married with children.
