Biography

Professor Benjamin Oluwabunmi Omolayo is an expert in Industrial and Organizational Psychology who is widely recognized for his contributions to teaching, research, academic leadership, and professional service in the field of psychology. Professor Omolayo's research interests include organizational behaviour, leadership, personnel management, human resource management, organizational conflict and crisis management, training and development, work motivation, job attitudes, employee well-being, and mental health management. He has authored and co-authored numerous scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals, contributed chapters to academic books, and supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. His work has significantly advanced knowledge in organizational psychology and workplace behaviour. Beyond the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, he has served as External Examiner for postgraduate theses and dissertation in universities in Nigeria and South Africa. He has equally served as External Assessor for academic staff promotion in Nigerian universities.

Professor Omolayo has held several important academic and administrative positions in the university he has served. He currently serves as the Director of the Counselling and Human Development Centre at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, where he provides strategic leadership in promoting students' mental health, psychosocial well-being, counselling services, and human development initiatives.

He is a member of professional bodies and has received research grants and scholarship awards in recognition of his academic excellence and contributions to the advancement of research and community development. He remained committed to excellence in teaching, impactful research, academic administration, mentorship, and community service. His dedication to developing future psychologists and improving organizational effectiveness continues to make him a respected scholar.
