Biography

Akinwale Blessing Adebukola is a Librarian, an accomplished educator, administrative professional, and information management specialist with a diverse career spanning education, healthcare operations, and corporate administrative support. Born in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, and hailing from Igogo-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Nigeria, I have built a solid professional foundation characterized by academic excellence and a versatile skillset. My academic journey is rooted in a strong commitment to education and information science. After completing my secondary education at Bobas High School in Ikere-Ekiti in 2012, I attended the University of Ilorin, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A. (ED)) in 2017. Driven by a desire to deepen my expertise in data and knowledge management, I pursued advanced studies at the prestigious University of Ibadan, obtaining a Masters in Library, Archival and Information Studies (MLIS) in 2023. In addition to my formal degrees, I have actively sought to expand my professional capabilities. In 2018, I earned certifications in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Levels 1, 2, and 3, covering workplace safety, practical risk assessment, and environmental awareness. I am also certified in First Aid/CPR, I hold a certification from the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), and is currently expanding my portfolio through a Project Management Program (PMP). Research Interests

Library Anxiety and general attitude of users to the library and its resources. Also, to research the impacts of ICT tools in the development of the library and its resources and how it has affected the advancement of education generally in this present day. Information literacy is a vast topic that has been investigated by a whole lot of scholars, I will likewise research that, as a dominant tool in librarianship research. The sensitization and orientation of potential users and old users is another core area that needs attention as many people still seem to not see the library beyond a room that just houses books.
