Prof. (Arc.) Albert Babajide Adeboye is a distinguished Nigerian academic, chartered architect, and professor of architecture. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ikole Campus, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Academic Background Prof. Adeboye holds a comprehensive academic foundation in architecture spanning both technical and advanced degree paths across accredited Nigerian institutions: National Diploma (ND) & Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) in Architecture Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Architecture Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Architecture Professional Affiliations As a practicing and registered architect in Nigeria, he holds key professional memberships: ARCON: Fully registered member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (F/2422). NIA: Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (M/2413). AARCHES: Member of the Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria (M-AACHES/242). Teaching and Professional Career Prof. Adeboye has over four decades of teaching, research, and administrative experience in higher education, beginning his academic career in August 1982. Academic Positions: Prior to his appointment as a full Professor and Dean at FUOYE, he taught at Kaduna Polytechnic and served as a Senior Lecturer at Covenant University, Ota. Core Courses Taught: Architectural Graphics, Specification Writing, History and Theory of Architecture, Building Components and Methods, and Architectural Design Studio. Industry Experience: Beyond academia, he worked in core industry practice for six years, serving as a Managing Director between 1987 and 2003. Research Focus and Publications His research interests primarily revolve around sustainability, cultural architectural forms, and construction management. Key themes include: Ecclesiastical Architecture: Prof. Adeboye has published extensively on the transformation, evolution, and material developments of Christian church architecture in Nigeria from 1845 through the early 2000s.
