Biography
Dr. Oluwatoyin Tolu Obateru is a Language Education specialist. She obtained her Bachelor degree and Master degree in English Language Education from University of Ilorin and later earned Doctor of Philosophy in Language Education From Ekiti State University. An academia with teaching experience spanning 20 years, she teaches Language Communication Skills, Theories of Language Learning ,Second Language Acquisition, Digital Literacy, Intercultural Communication, Literacy Theories, Teaching English as a Second Language, Language Planning and Policy and Principles of Curriculum Design in English Language & Literature in English to undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Through her teaching, research, and academic mentorship, Dr. Obateru has contributed to the development of language education by advocating learner-centered pedagogy, digital transformation in education, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies into teaching and learning. Her work reflects a commitment to addressing contemporary educational challenges while preparing learners and educators for the demands of an increasingly digital academic environment. She is a reviewer for notable journals under Common Grounds Network.
