Dr. Iyanuoluwa Samuel Adelakun is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Business Studies, Faculty of Education, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He holds a PhD and M.Ed. in Educational Management and a B.Ed. in Geography Education. His academic career reflects a strong commitment to advancing educational administration, leadership, policy, and sustainable institutional development through high-quality teaching, research, and community engagement.
His research interests focus on educational management, educational leadership, artificial intelligence in education, school administration, educational policy, human capital development, digital transformation, and sustainable educational development. He has published extensively in reputable national and international journals, contributing scholarly works on educational leadership, university management, educational finance, artificial intelligence, quality assurance, and sustainable development.
Dr. Adelakun is an active member of several professional associations, including the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), the Teaching and Education Research Association (TERA), the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the Education Dialogue Association (EDUDIA), and the Higher Education Research and Policy Network (HERPNET). He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and participated in professional development workshops on research, digital learning, ethics, and educational innovation.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Adelakun has held several academic and administrative responsibilities at FUOYE, supervised over forty undergraduate research projects, and served as a resource person in teacher capacity-building programmes organised by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). He is passionate about leveraging research, innovation, and evidence-based policy to improve educational systems and promote sustainable socio-economic development in Nigeria and across Africa.
