Biography

Mr. Gbenga Olorunmade is a Lecturer in the Department of Finance at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Banking and Finance from Kogi State University, Anyigba, Nigeria. He is currently a PhD candidate in one of the most reputable Universities in Nigeria

Mr. Olorunmade has built a diverse career spanning academia, finance, and business administration. Prior to joining the Federal University Oye-Ekiti as an Assistant Lecturer in 2022, he served in various professional capacities, including Assistant Platform Controller at FanMilk Nigeria, Abuja, Assistant Manager at Nevron Nigeria, Lokoja, and Accounting Teacher at Omuo Ore Secondary School, Ekiti State.

His teaching and research interests focus on banking and finance, financial intermediation, monetary policy, economic growth, private sector credit, financial institutions, and emerging financial technologies. He has contributed significantly to scholarly discourse through several peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters. His recent research explores topics such as human capital expenditure and economic growth, financial institutions’ credit and economic development, monetary policy effectiveness, and blockchain technology adoption in emerging economies.

Mr. Olorunmade is committed to advancing knowledge through quality teaching, research, and mentorship. He possesses strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and actively contributes to academic and professional development initiatives within the finance discipline.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on banking and finance, financial intermediation, monetary policy, economic growth, private sector credit, financial institutions, and emerging financial technologies.
