Biography

Dr. Sodipe Olubunmi Grace (née Rosiji) is a distinguished Nigerian academic, researcher, and Animal Physiologist with extensive experience in teaching, research, laboratory management, and academic administration. She currently serves as a Reader (Associate Professor) and Head of the Department of Animal Production and Health. She obtained her Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (now Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta) in 2011. She previously earned a M. Agric. in Animal Physiology in 2005, B. Agric. in Animal Production and Health.in 2000 from the same institution, and NCE from the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, in 1996. Driven by a passion for advancing quality education through innovative and cutting-edge technologies, she has dedicated her career to the development of animal physiology, livestock production, and agricultural sciences. Her research interests focus on Animal Physiology, with significant contributions to improving animal health, welfare, and productivity through the use of ethnobotanicals in scientific research and innovation. A respected member of several national and international professional bodies. She has over 40 publications in both national and international journals. Beyond teaching and research, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership through numerous administrative responsibilities. Her commitment to community development extends to professional and public service organizations. Throughout her career, she has actively participated in organizing international scientific conferences and workshops, particularly in animal science, organic agriculture, and Giant African Land Snail (GALS) research. Her scholarly contributions have earned her the prestigious STEP-B Postgraduate Scholarship Award for her Ph.D. studies. Dr. Sodipe is widely respected for her professionalism, integrity, leadership, and dedication to excellence in teaching, research, community service, and the advancement of agricultural education in Nigeria. She continues to contribute significantly to the development of animal physiology and livestock production through research, academic leadership, and professional service.

Research Interests

Use of enthobotanicals in eliminating stress and elevating the growth and reproduction performance of animals.
