I am an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Faculty of Arts, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. I joined the University in 2026 and am dedicated to teaching, research, and community service. In addition, I am committed to mentoring students and participating in departmental and university service.
I hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English language from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) in 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English and Literary Studies from Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) in 2013. I am pursuing a Ph.D. programme at the University of Abuja to contribute to the field of language studies.
My research interests span Lexical Semantics, Sociolinguistics, Pragmatics, and Discourse Analysis. My research focuses on language use in social and literary contexts, particularly how language choices shape meaning, identity, culture, ideology, and communication.
My academic vision is to become a leading scholar whose teaching, research, publications, and community engagement contributes significantly to the advancement of English language scholarship globally.
