Biography
Dr. Gabriel Ojo Omotayo is an Educational Management scholar, researcher, and experienced educator with over a decade of progressive experience spanning teaching, research, planning, and public administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Management from Ekiti State University, an M.Ed. in Education Administration and Planning from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Political Science (Second Class Upper Division).
He previously served as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Directorate of EKSU Regular Degree Programme (affiliated with Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun) and as a Chief Master (Civic Education). His professional journey also includes administrative service as a Higher Executive Officer with the Local Government Service Commission, where he gained extensive experience in research, planning, legislative support, and public administration.
Dr. Omotayo is a published author with textbooks and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles in the areas of educational management, school effectiveness, professional standards, quality assurance, and human resource management in education. He has presented papers at both national and international conferences and possesses strong proficiency in SPSS and educational research methodologies.
His research interests include digitization of education, educational leadership, teaching professionalization, educational laws and policies, and school effectiveness. A registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, he is committed to advancing quality assurance, policy development, and administrative excellence in the education sector.
Dr. Omotayo is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Educational Management and Business Studies, Faculty of Education, Federal University Oye Ekiti.
