Biography

Atoun, Adedayo Omolade is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agriculture, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (Ikole Campus), Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from the University of Ilorin, a Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, and a Master of Science in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from the same institution.
His teaching experience includes facilitating Farm Practical Year (FPY 415) courses at the Institute of Part-Time Studies, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, where he contributed to students' practical agricultural training between 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Atoun's research interests focus on agricultural extension, rural development, youth participation in agriculture, agricultural entrepreneurship, sustainable farming practices, agricultural insurance, indigenous agricultural knowledge, and rural sociology. He has authored and co-authored several scholarly publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings covering topics such as organic farming, youth entrepreneurship, indigenous management practices, and community development.
He is committed to advancing sustainable agricultural development through research, teaching, and community engagement. His long-term academic goal is to contribute to evidence-based policies and extension strategies that improve the livelihoods of rural farmers and strengthen agricultural productivity in Nigeria.
Outside academia, he enjoys reading, travelling, and watching documentaries and news programs.
