Biography

Dr. Babatunde Nurudeen BALOGUN was born over five decades ago, he attended Local Government Primary School, Oni for his primary education between 1977 and 1983. He was in Ahmadiyya Comprehensive High School, Oni between 1983 and 1988 for his secondary education.
In 1991, he was admitted into Lagos State College of Education, Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos State now Lagos State University of Education to study Geography and Social Studies, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State to study Educational Management and graduated in 1998. In 1999, he proceeded to Abia State to observe the one-year compulsory service at Community Girls’ Secondary School, Umungasi, Aba, Abia State.
In May 2000, Dr. Tunde BALOGUN joined the Federal Civil Service as he was appointed Education Officer II. He was in this service for more than nineteen years and rose to the post of Chief Education Officer Grade Level 14 before he left the service on the 27th October, 2019.
He went to Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State where he bagged M.Ed and Ph.d in Educational Management in 2006 and 2016 respectively. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Business Studies. He has represented the department and faculty in different capacities within and outside the university. He is currently the Faculty of Education representative in the Business Committee of Senate.
Dr. Tunde BALOGUN belongs to many professional associations both locally and internationally, some of which include; National Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), Teaching and Education Research, Association (TERA) to mention but a few. He has published a lot of research works and articles in reputable local and international journals. His major interest and specialization centred on leadership and institutional effectiveness.
