Biography

Dr. Agbegbedia Oghenevwoke Anthony is a Reader (Associate Professor) in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2014; M.A in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2008 and B.A in Philosophy in 2004, all from the University of Ibadan. He teaches courses related to Peace and Conflict Studies as well as Security studies. He has several publications in both local and international revered journals. He is a recipient of CODESRIA Ph.D grant and also a recipient of IFRA-Nigeria 2024 Grant Programme on Documenting the pottery-making ceramics tradition and conflict resolution strategies of Otor-Edo community in Delta State, Nigeria. He has attended and presented papers in both national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. Most of his publications focus on communal and environmental studies, security studies, peace education and peace studies and gender related issues.
