Biography

Olufunke Esther Olorunsola is a Lecturer II in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Master of Science degree in Pharmacognosy from the University of Ibadan. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacognosy at the University of Ibadan.

Research Interests

Research interests are centered on medicinal plants and natural products, with particular emphasis on pharmacognostic standardization, medicinal plant authentication, phytochemistry, microscopy, herbal medicine quality assurance, antimicrobial drug discovery, and molecular pharmacognosy. She is passionate about advancing evidence-based research on medicinal plants and promoting their safe and effective use in healthcare.
