Biography

I am Dr. Adejoke Oluwaseyi-Paul, popularly know as Dr. Paul. I am currently a LI Lecturer in the department of linguistics and languages.
I became a staff of the university in February 2020 as an Assistant Lecturer. Two years after my appointment, I became an examination officer in the department. In that same year, I introduced a Yoruba cuisine cooking practical into YOR206 (Yoruba Language and Culture ii) curriculum. The practical training has served as out of class hand on training opportunity for all my students over the years, especially my female students.
As a linguist and a literary scholar, I am passionate about using my language skills to profer solutions to societal problems. Violence, vengeance, punishment and conflict have been at the center of my research.

Research Interests

My research interests cuts across social justice. Conflict, violence, vengeance and punishment issues have dominated my academic life. My research works have successfully portrayed them as issues that are currently affecting the human society and have prescribed punishment as a tool that promotes peaceful human relation.
