Biography

Dr. Oluwafemi Anthony Ajayi is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of Department in the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology at Federal University Oye-Ekiti. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Zoology from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta now Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He also obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology (Animal Physiology) from the same University. His research interests cut across different areas of Animal Physiology, including stress physiology, reproductive biology and environmental adaptation in animals.
With several years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Ajayi teaches courses in Animal Physiology, Comparative Anatomy and Environmental Biology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research focuses on understanding physiological responses of animals to environmental changes and applying this knowledge to improve animal health and productivity.
Dr. Ajayi has published articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at national and international conferences. He is committed to mentoring students and advancing research in animal and environmental sciences.
As Ag. HOD, he provides academic leadership and fosters collaborations that promote excellence in teaching, research and community service.
