Biography

Dr Onodugo, Chinemelum Adaora, is a Lecturer in the department of Biochemistry ,Faculty of Life Sciences, FUOYE. She holds a Bachelor's and Masters degrees in Biochemistry from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki and Ph.D. degree from the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti(FUOYE), with specialization in Nutritional and Medicinal Biochemistry. Her research focuses on effects of toxicants on metabolic functions in animals and developing sustainable strategies for anti plasmodium survival amongst others. Her work explores the application of microbial biofilms and biocatalytic enzymes for degradation and detoxification of environmental pollutants.
Dr. Onodugo is committed to promoting environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, food security and public health.
Her long-term goal is to contribute to global efforts in developing nature-based solutions for toxicants ingested as food through cutting edge biotechnology.

Research Interests

My research interests focuses on Nutritional and Medicinal Biochemistry.
It centres on elucidating the mechanism of toxicants and metabolic functions.
