Biography
Oyedoyin Dorcas Ogungbade, RN, RM, RPHN, BNSc, MSc Nursing
Oyedoyin Dorcas Ogungbade is a Lecturer II in the Department of Nursing, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria. She is a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), and Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) with over fifteen years of professional nursing experience spanning both public and private healthcare institutions in Nigeria.
She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria, and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Nursing from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Nursing at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, and is in the final stage of completing her doctoral studies.
Before joining academia in 2024, Mrs. Ogungbade built a distinguished clinical career as a bedside nurse, providing comprehensive nursing care across diverse healthcare settings. Her extensive clinical background has enriched her teaching, research, and mentorship roles within the university system.
Her research interests include maternal and child health, public health nursing, nursing education, quality healthcare delivery, and evidence-based nursing practice. She is committed to advancing nursing knowledge through teaching, research, community engagement, and professional service. As an academic and healthcare professional, she remains dedicated to training competent nurses and contributing to the development of the nursing profession in Nigeria and globally.
