Biography

Job Taiwo GBADEGESIN (PhD, TU DELFT, Netherlands) is a dynamic and inspirational real estate lecturer, researcher, and practitioner with excellent pedagogical, leadership, and communication skills. He conducts innovative, evidence-based research that addresses and offers solutions to real-world problems in real estate, land, housing, facilities, and infrastructure. He has proven international experience conducting collaborative research to inform policies and develop advocacy plans to achieve SDG objectives and targets in rural and urban development, including property/facilities development and management, land and housing, valuation, mining, and the local economy. He has over 15 years of teaching and research experience at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria (2009-2020), and at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (2020 to date). He completed his first and second degrees in estate management from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Job Taiwo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree as the best graduating student and prize winner of the prestigious J.O. Oluwatundimu and Chief (Dr.) Dele Afolabi awards. He also completed his master's degree with distinction. He then earned his PhD from Delft University of Technology in Delft, The Netherlands, on a scholarship, with research focused on real estate and housing system policy. He has completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of the Free State, South Africa (2019-2023). He serves as a research associate at the Centre for Development Support, University of the Free State, South Africa. An adjunct and collaborative lecturer and researcher with the Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development, University of Lagos, Lagos. He provides learning support with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM). He has published widely in Emerald Publishing Group Ltd., Routledge Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier. He has taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students across leading universities. A former Acting HOD.
