Biography
Professor Samuel Ayodele Adebitan is a Plant pathologist of 25 years as a Professor. He specializes in screening of crops for sources of resistance, use of plant extracts/bio-pesticides, evaluation of damages and losses caused by plant pathogens and insect pests, identification and documentation of first reports on alternative hosts of some pathogens, manipulation of cultural practices for control. He has served as an External Examiner for Undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D including assessment of candidates for Readers and Professors in more than 13 Universities.
Research Interests
My research interest is specifically,
Screening of crops for sources of resistance
● Use of plant extracts/bio-pesticides
● Evaluation of damages and losses caused by plant pathogens and insect pests
● Identification and documentation of first reports on alternative hosts of some pathogens
● Manipulation of cultural practices for control
