Biography
Samuel Akpama is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations (English Language Education), Faculty of Education, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. He is an educationist, researcher, curriculum specialist, and an academic with a strong passion for improving teaching, learning, and educational practice through innovative and evidence-based approaches.
He obtained the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in English (Double Major) from Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, in 2013. He subsequently earned a B.A. (Ed.) in English Education from the University of Uyo in 2018 and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum Studies from the same institution in 2025. He is currently pursuing an M.Phil./Ph.D. in English Language Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria.
Mr. Akpama is a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and belongs to several professional bodies, including the Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON), the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI), and the International Association of Language Educators (IALE). His research interests span English Language Pedagogy, Teacher Education, Digital Literacy, Curriculum Development, and Curriculum Implementation. Through his research and scholarly engagements, he seeks to contribute to the advancement of quality education, effective instructional practices, and the integration of emerging technologies into teaching and learning.
He has published scholarly articles in reputable journals and has participated in academic and professional activities aimed at promoting educational development and excellence. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he has demonstrated commitment to academic administration, curriculum innovation, and student development.
Beyond academia, Samuel Akpama is also known for his dedication to scholarship, professional integrity, mentorship, and service to the educational community.
