Biography

Effiong Okon Offiong is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria. He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Economics and MSc in Development Economics from the University of Calabar, (Calabar, Nigeria). Currently a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) candidate in Economics at the University of Calabar. He joined Federal University Oye-Ekiti in 2026.
Effiong is passionate about mentoring students and promoting excellence in higher education and research.

Research Interests

My research interest covers topics in the fields of applied health, development economics and population economics.
