Biography
Mr. Olatunde Olayiwola Oso is a Finance scholar, researcher, and banking professional. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Finance, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria, and a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, where his research focuses on exchange rate volatility and economic growth in Nigeria. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Banking and Finance from Ekiti State University.
His research interests include Corporate Finance, International Finance, Macro-Financial Risk Modeling, and Financial Econometrics, with particular emphasis on the transmission of macroeconomic and financial shocks to corporate and economic outcomes in emerging markets. His scholarly works address issues such as financial sector development, exchange rate dynamics, fintech and financial intermediation, ESG finance, stock market efficiency, and quantitative asset pricing.
Mr. Oso has over fifteen years of professional experience in the financial services sector, covering banking operations, treasury administration, foreign exchange documentation, internal control, and customer service management. He also served as an Operations Manager in the private sector and completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) assignment in the Department of Finance, University of Calabar.
He has authored and co-authored publications and working papers in economic growth, financial market development, fintech, ESG finance, stock market behaviour, and asset pricing. His long-term research vision is to develop quantitative macro-financial frameworks that explain corporate financial behaviour and financial stability in emerging and frontier economies. He is committed to advancing finance scholarship through rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of academic knowledge with professional practice.
