Biography

Dr. Oluwaseun Osadola is a lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Nigeria. He was also a visiting researcher at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, where he was awarded the prestigious British Academy International Visiting Fellowship in 2023. His research interests broadly focus on Nigerian history, with particular attention to social, cultural, economic, and political developments, as well as the study of material culture and historical transformations.
Dr. Osadola is an active researcher whose scholarly contributions have appeared in reputable national and international journals. His works engage with significant historical questions, employing interdisciplinary approaches to explore issues relating to identity, society, heritage, and historical memory in Nigeria and beyond. Through his research and publications, he contributes to expanding knowledge on African historical experiences and the diverse processes that have shaped Nigerian societies.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Osadola is committed to mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, promoting critical historical inquiry, and encouraging innovative approaches to the study of history.
