Biography

Dr. Sunday Ade Adeniran is an Associate Professor of Science Education in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria. He currently serves as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education, where he provides academic leadership and strategic direction in advancing teacher education and research.
He holds a Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of Ilorin (2011) and began his academic career at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, where he served from 2012 to 2020 before joining the Federal University Oye-Ekiti in July 2020.
Dr. Adeniran’s research interests span creative thinking in science education, gender inclusivity, inquiry-based learning, and the development of effective STEM pedagogies within the Nigerian context. His work is driven by a commitment to improving classroom practice and fostering meaningful student engagement through innovative and evidence-based approaches.
A seasoned educator and mentor, he has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, shaping emerging scholars with diligence and intellectual discipline. He actively contributes to the academic community through peer-review engagements for reputable national and international journals. He previously served as the Managing Editor of the FUOYE International Journal of Education (FIJED), where he played a central role in sustaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publications.
Dr. Adeniran is also deeply engaged in policy dialogue and advocacy aimed at strengthening STEM education in Nigeria. His scholarship reflects both depth and growing influence. He has authored a total of 40 publications, including 12 articles in high-impact journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, IBSS, and other reputable databases. In addition, he has published four books and three book chapters, contributing significantly to knowledge in curriculum development, pedagogy, and science teaching strategies.
