Biography

Shukurah Omowumi JUNAID is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and a librarian at the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), where she serves in the Electronic Library Unit. She holds a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.LIS) degree and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS). Her professional experience spans academic librarianship, electronic library services, digital information management, data analytics, and information literacy. She has received technical training in data science/data analysis and digital technologies through ALX Africa and the 3 Million Technical Talents (3MTT) Programme and is an active member of Data Science Nigeria. She is also an alumna of the AI and Tech Accountability Reporting Fellowship of the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), where she investigated issues relating to artificial intelligence, digital platforms, privacy, and technology governance. Her research and professional interests focus on artificial intelligence in libraries, digital literacy, research support services, scholarly communication, data-driven decision-making, and ethical technology use.
