Biography
Dr. Solomon Ayodeji OLATUNJI is a Reader and Deputy Dean Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria,. He holds array of academic qualifications across urban planning, estate management, and geospatial sciences.
Dr. Olatunji is a Registered Town Planner with the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP). He is also a registered Teacher with Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), and a Registered Technologist with the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).
His academic career began at the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke, where he lectured in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning from 2010 to 2018. He later served as a lecturer at Wesley University, Ondo, from 2018 to 2020 before joining FUOYE.
Dr. Olatunji has extensively contributed to national development through consultancy services in environmental impact assessments, institutional master plans, feasibility and valuation studies, and spatial mapping for various urban and rural settlements across Nigeria. He has served as a consultant to multiple government agencies and private organizations.
He is actively involved in academic and professional discourse, having attended and presented at numerous conferences both within and outside Nigeria. His research interests span urban planning policy, geospatial analysis, environmental planning, and sustainable development with over 50 publication in both local and international journal outlets
