Prof. Emmanuel Gbenga Olumayede
Professor
Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Science
Area of Specialization: Environmental and Material Chemistry
Biography
Prof. Olumayede Gbenga Emmanuel is a native of Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He speaks and writes both English and Yoruba, which is the mother tongue fluently. His academic qualifications include doctorate (Ph.D) in Environmental Chemistry and M.Sc (Industrial Chemistry) magna cum laude granted on August 12th, 2011 and February, 1993 respectively by the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria .
Research Interests
My research interest involves the application of basic chemical principles in studying the fate of chemicals in the environment, development of predictive/interpretive models thereof and ecotoxicology of pollutants, all in the field of Environmental chemistry. In recent time, I am involved in study materials chemistry and conversion processing. Expertise has been accrued in micro-analytical detection methods.
