Biography
I am a demographer and social researcher with 11 years of experience in teaching and social, demographic and health research. My research interests include maternal and child health, adolescent health as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights. I have won several research grants with organisations such as the Educational Research Network in West and Central Africa, the USAID/ICF DHS Fellows Program, and the Royal Society of Tropical Medical and Hygiene, UK. I have experience in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research, as well as in the use of quantitative and qualitative data analysis software. I have authored and co-authored a total of 13 articles in reputable academic journals, as well as 3 book chapters (2 published, 1 in view). My research has focused on maternal healthcare utilisation among adolescent girls and women, motivations for alternative healthcare use, sexual violence, contraceptive use, reproductive health and sexual health education, fertility intentions and behaviour, and healthcare behaviour and access.
