Biography

Ayodeji Olorunfemi Olawole, PhD, is a Reader in the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. A Psychologist, Educator, Innovator, and Dealer in Hope, he brings over a decade of scholarly engagement to the fields of counselling psychology and educational research, with a sustained focus on adolescent wellbeing, psychosocial development, and guidance services within Nigerian higher education.

He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Counselling Psychology and Educational Studies and a proud member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CAISSON). His research portfolio spans social media and mental health, gender-based violence, career counselling, cyberbullying, and technology-mediated learning outcomes, with findings disseminated across several peer-reviewed journals. He is a recipient of the TETFund Institutional Based Research (IBR) grant, with a manuscript currently under review in a Scopus-indexed journal.

Intellectually rooted in the humanistic tradition of Freud, Jung, Maslow, and Frankl. Ass. Prof. Olawole remains committed to producing rigorous, context-sensitive scholarship that advances counselling practice and educational outcomes across Africa.
