Biography
Dr. Ojo Olawale Ariyo is a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, a Master's degree in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University).
Before joining the academic staff of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Dr. Ariyo served in various administrative capacities in the Ekiti State Civil Service from 2019 to October 2024, where he gained extensive experience in public administration and governance. His professional career spans both academia and public service, reflecting a strong commitment to teaching, research, and public engagement.
Dr. Ariyo's research interests include electoral governance, democracy and democratization, gender and politics, public policy, environmental governance, security studies, and international relations. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters to scholarly books in these areas. He is an active participant in national and international academic conferences and is committed to advancing scholarship, policy-oriented research, and community engagement through teaching, research, and professional service.
