Biography
I am a Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. I teach undergraduate courses in English Grammar, Discourse Analysis, Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, English for Specific Purposes, and Communication Skills. My teaching focuses on developing studentsβ critical thinking, effective language use, and academic writing skills through discourse-based inquiry and problem-solving.
My research interests include English grammar, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and applied linguistics, with particular emphasis on terrorism discourse, political discourse, medical discourse, classroom discourse, and film discourse. My scholarly works have been published in both national and international journals, and I have presented papers at academic conferences.
I am also engaged in community service and student mentoring aimed at promoting literacy, academic excellence, and effective communication.
I am a member of the English Scholars Association of Nigeria (ESAN).
