Biography

Dr. Samuel O. Ajayi is a Soil Conservationist with a strong academic and research background in Pedology, Soil Survey, Land Evaluation, Land Degradation, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Remote Sensing, Land Use Planning, and Soil Mapping. His research focuses on sustainable land management, soil resource assessment, soil fertility evaluation, digital soil mapping, and the application of geospatial technologies for environmental monitoring and agricultural development.

He has extensive experience in soil characterization, land capability and suitability evaluation, soil classification, and environmental assessment. His work integrates field investigations, laboratory analyses, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing techniques to support evidence-based land-use planning and natural resource management. His research interests include soil conservation, carbon sequestration, land degradation assessment, and the sustainable management of tropical soils to enhance agricultural productivity and environmental resilience.

Research Interests

Sustainable land management, soil resource assessment, soil fertility evaluation, digital soil mapping, and the application of geospatial technologies for environmental monitoring and agricultural development.
