Biography

Professor Fisayo Abraham Bamisaye is a distinguished Nigerian scholar in Biochemistry with extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and postgraduate supervision in the Department of Biochemistry at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He obtained his BSc. from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and M.Sc., PGDE and Ph.D. from the University of Ilorin. Professor Bamisaye has over two decades of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience, with numerous publications in reputable international journals. His research focuses on phytomedicine, nutraceutical and toxicology. He has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students and remains committed to advancing sustainable medicinal plants for the treatment of diseases such as diabetes and diarrhoea through innovative research and mentorship.

Research Interests

Research Interests includes: The use of medicinal plants for the management of diseases, their uses as nutraceutical and the study of their possible toxicity.
