Biography

Professor Dosu Malomo is a distinguished Professor of Industrial Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. With over three decades of university-level teaching, research, and administrative experience, he is a recognized expert in Polymer Science and Technology. Professor Malomo holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry (Polymer Chemistry) from Ambrose Alli University, an M.Phil. from the University of Benin, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University. His primary research focuses on elastomer compounding and vulcanization, rubber functionalization, thermoplastic composites, and the eco-friendly utilization of agro-wastes in polymer matrices—contributing over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and scholarly book publications to the field. A committed educator and research mentor, Prof. Malomo has successfully supervised numerous undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. candidates, alongside serving as an External Examiner for several top Nigerian universities. He has completed specialized international training, including advanced rubber compounding in Germany, and has presented his research globally across Europe and North America. Beyond his primary research, Prof. Malomo has held significant institutional leadership roles, notably serving as the Dean of Students at FUOYE (2017–2023), ASUU Branch Chairperson, and University Orator. He is a Fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (FCSN), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (FICCON), and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC). His broader service includes key consultancy roles in educational development and public service for national election administration in Nigeria.
