Biography

Dr. Abiodun Oluwatosin Adeoye is a Lecturer in Industrial Chemistry at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria, where he teaches, conducts research, supervises students’ projects and supports academic administration. He holds a PhD in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
His research focuses on analytical chemistry, renewable energy, biomass conversion, pyrolysis, catalysis, nanochemistry, environmental chemistry, pollution control, remediation, water and soil analysis, and alternative fuels. His doctoral research examined the pyrolysis and thermogravimetric analysis of selected agricultural wastes for bio-oil production as potential alternative fuel materials. This work reflects his wider interest in sustainable energy systems, waste valorisation and environmental protection.

Dr Adeoye has published widely in reputable journals and edited volumes, with research outputs indexed in Scopus/WoS. His publications cover biomass waste pyrolysis, biofuel production, thermal degradation kinetics, catalytic upgrading of bio-oil, green synthesis of nanoparticles, environmental assessment and sustainable remediation. He has also presented research papers at national and international conferences.
He is a recipient of the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences Best PhD Thesis Award in Chemistry and a Petroleum Technology Development Fund PhD Scholarship. He is also a beneficiary of the TETFund National Research Fund 2024 grant cycle. His professional engagement includes editorial roles as Guest Editor for special issues on biomass energy and catalytic pyrolysis, and Editor in the Chemistry Section of the Journal of the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences.
In addition to research and teaching, Dr Adeoye serves as Deputy Faculty of Science Examination Officer and SIWES Coordinator. He is skilled in data analysis, instrumental chemical analysis, academic writing, research coordination and student mentoring.
