Biography
Professor James Oludare Agbolade is a distinguished Nigerian scholar in Plant Science and Biotechnology with extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and postgraduate supervision in the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He obtained his B.Tech. in Pure and Applied Biology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, an M.Sc. in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of Ibadan, a PGDE from the National Teachers' Institute, Kaduna, and a Ph.D. in Botany (Cytology and Cytogenetics) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. Professor Agbolade has over two decades of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience, with numerous publications in reputable international journals. His research focuses on plant genetics, cytogenetics, molecular biology, plant biotechnology, biodiversity conservation, and crop improvement, particularly in underutilized legumes. He has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students and remains committed to advancing sustainable agriculture through innovative research and mentorship.
