Biography
Adelehin Atinuke Abiodun is a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Health Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. She began her academic and professional journey at the Ondo State School of Health Technology, Akure, where she obtained the Health Information Management Technician (HIT) certificate. During her training, she acquired practical knowledge and hands-on experience in health records management, medical documentation, and healthcare information systems.
As part of her practical training, she was posted to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex, and later to the General Hospital, Owo. These experiences exposed her to the day-to-day operations of health information management and strengthened her understanding of the importance of accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in supporting quality healthcare delivery.
She further advanced her education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Health Information Management Officer from Adeleke University. During her undergraduate studies, she undertook her clinical posting at Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, where she gained additional practical experience in health records administration and hospital information management.
Following her graduation, she participated in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. During her orientation course at the Sagamu camp, she served as a Health Information Management Officer at the camp clinic, before completing her primary assignment at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Health at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo. Her diverse research interests include Public Health, Health Education and Promotion, Digital Health, and Maternal and Child Health. Dedicated to academic excellence, she serves as a Graduate Assistant at FUOYE, striving to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of health information management and healthcare service delivery in Nigeria.
