Biography

Dr Olanrewaju Johnson OMOJU is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources Management, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Nigeria. He specializes in Soil Physics and Soil Conservation, with research interests in Tillage Systems, Soil Organic Carbon, Aggregation Improvement and Soil Moisture Transmission Properties.

Dr Omoju was born on March 24, 1978. He holds Nigerian Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) from Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka-Lagos in 2000 and proceeded to University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), where he obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture in Soil Science, Second Class Upper Division in 2006. He proceeded to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) for his M. Agric Tech. in Soil Management, and later earned a PhD in Soil Physics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in 2025.

He joined the service of Federal University Oye-Ekiti in 2013 as an Assistant Lecturer and has risen to the rank of Senior Lecturer. He had successfully supervised many undergraduates’ student projects and have some papers published to his credits. Within the university, he has served in key administrative roles including Examination Officer and Coordinator for the Department in the Institute of Part Time Studies. Currently, He is the Coordinator of Part Time Students Farm Practical Year Program and Postgraduate student representative for the Department. Dr Omoju is an active scholar and member of professional bodies including the Soil Science Society of Nigeria and the International Soil and Tillage Organization.

Research Interests

Tillage systems, soil organic carbon, aggregation improvement and soil moisture transmission properties.
