Biography

Amosun, Abodunrin Olukayode attended Government Technical College, Ilode, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, and the Federal School of Arts and Sciences, Ondo. He subsequently gained admission to Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, in 1997, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) degree in History and International Studies (2001).

He obtained a Master's degree in History and Diplomacy (2010), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (2011) at Lagos State University, and completed a PhD in History and Diplomacy (2025) at Taraba State University, Jalingo.

β€ŽHis core research interests include Nigerian History, Economic History, Good Governance and Democratization, Urban and Environmental History, and International Politics.

β€ŽDr. Amosun has participated in several local academic conferences and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is also a member of various professional bodies and academic associations in Africa.

β€ŽHe previously served as a part-time lecturer at Lagos State University External System (LASUES) and at the Directorate of Degree Programmes (DDP), Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, hosted at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, Lagos.

β€ŽSince 2021, he has been a lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), where he currently serves.
