Research Interests

Professor Babalola's research innovatively fuses classical pedology with digital technologies like remote sensing, GIS, and nuclear techniques to bridge the gap between laboratory science and field application. His interests span digital soil mapping, precision agriculture, land evaluation, soil carbon dynamics, conservation, climate change adaptation, and environmental impact assessment. Committed to making soil data actionable for farmers, he directly addresses Nigeria's food security, sustainable land management, and climate resilience challenges. He actively seeks interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers, students, industry, and farming communities to advance sustainable agricultural development across Africa.
