Biography

Augustus Olukayode Fisher is a distinguished Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Political Science, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc., M.A., and M.Phil., and is currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science, focusing on analyzing Nigeria's space policy and strategy, with an emphasis on its interaction with development and security. Expected to complete in 2027, his doctoral research contributes to the broader discourse on the development and political economy of Africa. Fisher has established himself as a leading scholar in international political economy and regional integration in West Africa. His work explores the political dynamics of West Africa, decolonisation, and the intersections of African history and spirituality. He actively participates in both international and local academic conferences, presenting research findings and contributing to scholarly debates in political science and African studies. Through academic collaborations and global discussions on governance, regional integration, and political activism, he is positioned as an influential voice in both African and international academic communities
